Re: 1981 Huffy Pro Thunder

I was given this same model  bike for my tenth Birthday on September 20th 1980. my first BMX bike, I was 10.
Mine had a white cross bar pad and a rear hand brake, black chain gaurd. My rims was alloy Araya's straight outta the box.  I think it was called a Pro-thunder III.

Re: 1981 Huffy Pro Thunder

My friend had one of these, same color and all. We had a ramp built at the top of a very steep hill. He got a running start and launched it. Usually we would get a little air and land smoothly on the way down the hill. Not this time, he jumped out into the wild blue yander. He lost all momentum and just fell out of the sky probablly about 30 ft. Cleared the whole hill! He broke his arm and the bike was mangled. Those were the days.tongue
