What's your favorite bike?
I am not asking what your dream bike is. I do not mean what's your favorite bike in the museum. I do not mean what is your single favorite build from another person. I mean, what's your favorite bike? Plain and simply. Not just a manufacturer, but a model. Ideally, this should be a bike you have owned in the past.
Growing up, mine was the GT performer. In a family of 6 children, it was the highest end we could afford. Since my return to BMX several years back, it's the S&M Holmes. All of them. From 1", clear through to the 1 1/8th frames. I just keep buying more. It's my favorite 20" to just ride. My current 20" dirt jumper is a Dirtbike classic, but I have plans to make a nice 1 1/8 Holmes to replace it as my jumper.
Everything I own is for sale. Pm any interest.

Re: What's your favorite bike?
My all time fave will always be the 81 Goose.
In 83 My brother and I built one up so I could have a rider. It wasn't high end by no means, but it was a heavyweight! ![]()
A close second to that is the GT cruiser I have. So smooth after riding a 20.
Lookin for black winners circle grips. Don't need to be NOS. Just decent enough for a rider.

Mine has to be the T/A... it was my first "real" bike when I was 13 years old.

The one I have, RL-20II, mine is 85, but i like the 86 better due to black bb, and like the 88 due to the brakes bosses. 84 just looks clean and pristine.

Re: What's your favorite bike?
Growing up it was my 87 dyno d tour, it was the summer of 1990 i was 9or10 and got it from one of the older kids in the neighborhood.
i thought i was cool $h!t compared to the other young kids. i'd follow the teens around and try all the tricks they would do, but it was so big for me i'd spend half the day on the ground.
Today, it is My Sunday Funday 2 (AMF), its just crazy how it responds to your movements, and its so lite.

Re: What's your favorite bike?
Talking real BMX bikes that I've owned? Only one - my '86 Californian. I did everything on that bike, and it was awesome. Even with my long legs and torso, I still rode it fine. Learned some flatland, did thousands of dirt jumps, and even trail raced it a couple times through the woods.
Not exactly a legend, but it was my favorite bike, and I've had a lot. I can't wait to build another one.

My 09' Quad 24", I had a 20' Supergoose back in the day and my Quad feels 100X smoother, maybe its the longer wheelbase, maybe I'm just older, I just know its not a Janky Turd.

Re: What's your favorite bike?
My favorite bike will always be the most painful one I will never forget , because it was stolen . 1985 GT Mach One...I've passed on a few over the years because my nerves get shot thinking about that bike when I was 10 . It's weird but I just now started my hunt for one of the most incredible things I've ever owned . ![]()

The '99 Profile cruiser that I own, though I would have gotten it in red if I'd had a choice. Many, many bikes have been among my favorites over the years, but simply put, she rides like a dream and she's my grail.

Re: What's your favorite bike?
Well, I do not have a huge collection to pick from, Im about to finish my 5th build which will taker me to me self imposed limit. But even though the 5th build is looking pretty good, my first build is still my favorite. I had never built a bike from the frame up until this bike. Each part had a purpose and I really wanted and old school look from the 80's. Spent whatever was needed to get this done and I wouldnt change a thing. My 38 Special.........for a 20", it rides amazing and not just at the track either!

Re: What's your favorite bike?
I would say the 1" S&M Dirtbike. I had four of them from 1989 to 1993 when I stopped riding. I now have my fifth and it is an exact replica of the first.
Runner up is a 1988 GT Pro Series Team Model. Just finished building another one last week!

I would kill for a 1st Gen S&M Dirtbike . This dude from Virginia had one up at Ray's MTB a few years ago , he got some crazy offers but decided to keep it .
