1986 Kuwahara Laserlite

Anlun era Laserlite. This has all round tubes and was factory painted green over the chrome frame. Excuse the Gusset-Pimp tires, I just dig em for city riding..
F-F-B-P: Laserlite (stamped Anlun 4130)
Seatclamp: SunTour arrow
Headset: Tioga
Brake: Dia-Comp Nippon 883, 128 lever
Chainring: Super Duralumin, 44t
Wheels: Ukai 36h rims, Sansin sealed hubs
Crank: Redline 180 (new)
Pedals: MKS BM-7 (new)

That's cool. Interesting what you mentioned about the factory green paint over the chrome - I used to have an '86 Laserlite, which had green paint over chrome on the front trialngle, a chrome rear end and chrome forks, It had yellow Kuwahara decals. Is that how your one used to look?

Yes, it also had an Anlun 3 piece crank. The crank was beat with a hammer by the original owner sad I couldn't find Laserlite 3000 decals either, so it's decaled as a KZ.

Awesome! My frame was the same, with chrome forks and the yellow stickers. The bike came with an original set of full wrap single pinch 401 Flights, mid '90s Profile bars, a white Elina Lightning Bolt, chrome Ukais with white 1st gen GT race hubs...plus some other bits I can't remember anymore. If you are looking for the original style stickers, I think these are the ones you need, on ebay:

that is really unique looking Kuwi, I like it alot. Green Paint Over Chrome????!!!!!!! Good Lord only in the 80's


WANTED: 1 1\8 "  forks in near new condition from 2000 (ish) era. Will be mounting to 2000 Marin mbx 50. Something a little differentwould be cool, but not really into carbon. Try me with anything that's not freestyle or DJ though.
Must be 3\8 axle. 
Must be willing to ship to Canada at my expense.
