looky looky at what I found

Anyway to tell the year? When where these made? Are these race or freestyle (or both) bars?

Re: looky looky at what I found

coolcool check out the restoration section, there are some great CW images, also the CW page http://www.cw-racing.com/pages/history.
they look like nice pro bars to me. 83. but im no expert. probabvly considered a race bar BITD, but i used them for freestyle so what ever works for ya. good height / knee clearance for me at 190cm... PM if you want to get rid of them, they are kinda horrible! lol

Some love them, some hate them.  They have always been one of my favorite bars.

Most folks HATE them, and run screaming in the other direction...hmm

I happen to like them, as they provide some nice space under the bar...

good luck with them, whatever you do...

Some of my favorite bars - run 'em on two of my bikes - congrats on the find.  I've only known them as race bars, but that's just me.

Re: looky looky at what I found

Here is more stuff. I actually bought the bike for these rims. I think they will look nice on my 80s build cool

There are no markings on the rims that I have yet found, however there appears to have been a decal surrounding the stem valve hole. Any information anyone is willing to share about these will be greatly appreciated. Hubs are Suzue sealed smile

the wheels look like  Pro Class,  not positive because there were a few knock offs that looked like pro class.  but to me they look like pro class that came on the 80s model mongoose bikes.

Re: looky looky at what I found

These came off a bike dating back to late 81. The tire I removed had almost become one with the rim, so I am sure these are definitely genuinely old smile

This thing came installed on the same bike neutral In my humble opinion, looks to be the ugliest headset lock ever. Anyone know more about this piece?

Dude, are you going to just keep posting one piece at a time?  Show us the whole score - so far CW Pro bars, Pro Class rims, and Hutch 2-in-1 headset lock.  Let us see all the goods  smile

Here is the bike as it appeared on eBay smile I have everything except the saddle (good). The grips are made by Fisher-Price lol

As mentioned before, I really wanted the rims for a build (and the crank too), so the rest is being parted out. Headset lock has been sold already. Watch for the frame (it is in A++ condition)

My bro might be interested in that FF.   Ironically Kuwahara made a handle bar that looked identical to those CW bars
