1982 Hutch XL 24
Rare early MCS made Hutch with slotted gussett behind bottom bracket.
Got this ff set from my LA connection (Danny). Original frame fork and early bars original finish. Added some first gen profile cranks (rechromed) that were on another bike. This set does not have the splined spindle though. (My drilled BB pro racer does though). Set up as a dream cruiser with many Hutch goodies. Not realistic but bad ass. Oh I cheated on the seat still need an original one. This is my third XL 24 build after the double stamped brakebridge Aerospeed one and the original chrome one that Bret sold.
I keep trying to get it right as in my mind.
FRAME: 1982 MCS-made Hutch XL24

HANDLEBARS: Early MCS? made Hutch
GRIPS: Used Hutch
STEM: Hutch Deep H original black
RIMS: Chrome Araya 7X
SPOKES: .080 stainless steel
HUBS: Hutch Mag-ti
BRAKES: Dia Compe MX1000 (caliper dated 1982, cable dated 1983)
BRAKE PADS: Kool Stop 1st gen
BRAKE LEVER: Shimano DX
TIRES: IRC X-1
PEDALS: Titron
CRANKS: Hutch 1st Gen (Profile-made, with correct fasteners.
SPIDER: Profile spider (110bcd) .
CHAIN RING: 41T Sugino BMX
FREEWHEEL: Suntour 17T
SEAT: Kashimax Hutch
SEAT POST: Hutch (original Hutch post well used)
SEAT CLAMP: Titron made Magnesium
PADS: Hutch original chrome beat up a bit

Damn it fit perfect...I should have know it was too good to be true!!! Fuk find me one that fits. The other 130 ones I have are slightly loose. Also the 110s are too tight with the spacer or way too loose without.

Yeah yeah I know the Pro Neck would be more correct and probably the grips too but the stem makes it ride killer and its just a dream build anyway. Not a realistic one. But here ae the pics...btw I did find a black pro neck in the stash to put on it!
