81 schwinn scrambler with early acs mags
I got this bike from a neighbor of mine who was going to throw it out .It had been attacked with black spray paint and had no wheels .When I saw him throwing it in the back of his truck I knew I had to save it. With a little thinner, some time and the loss of a few brain cells I got the the paint off. I had a set of early acs mags that needed a place to go and I knew this was the perfect bike for them .Not quite 100 percent mag scrambler but pretty close now it will be around for another 25 years of riding

hey i have some original lester mags made for schwinn scramblers if you are interested. they are on my mongoose in the musuem. nice save though, almost became a set of silverware.
when i see a mongoose at walmart, i try and picture the metal being used to make something more useful, like a frying pan, or maybe some clothes hangers...oh well...its out of my hands.
