Just got it in the mail today. Won it off feebay.
No Crossbar.
Real nice, OG decals, crack in brake bridge, but overall nice rare frame.
TT measures 19.5. Thin drops. Thick down tube, thin top tube. Really no dents and hardly any rust. Now I need to find forks

Good job man! One of dem between Hutch leaves and Hutch sues (or what ever) Profile. It's sort of a mutt (1/2 Hutch; 1/2 Profile).

Really cool to have.

Scott was saying it might even be an '81 '82?
Has the EAAAARLY Profile decals.

Read this interview with Hutchins on JJR or somewhere it talks about the time period where Profile and Hutch first split (I think this was around '81). That's when Profile's didn't have the cross tube. Then Hutch made a stink about it, and to address it from a legal issue Profile just put in a cross tube, and away they went. If you look in the Museum, even the '81's had a cross tube. I think the split was right around then so, yeah, it's got to be that time frame.

The dates in the Museum are guess-timates as no Profiles have any SN's.

couple differences here...no hole in the rear dropouts and the seat stays are even with the top tube. it's a bit different than the one i had.
