Re: 1976 Mongoose Motomag

Nice, but you commented......."yeah I know" on the Schwinn stuff?

You didn't mention it for:

Tange seat clamp
Fluted polished seat post
Viscount Dominator seat

smile tongue

Still a nice goose! wink

I'm looking for the following frames, frame & forks or completes by BMX products:
MotoTrac (nickle or chrome), Racer-X or a Super-X (with the double gussets preferred).
Thanks wink

Re: 1976 Mongoose Motomag

Most would want the Mongoose headset and bottom bracket, but the other after market parts would all be era correct and a lot of kids upgraded to those parts so I didn't mention them. BITD it wouldn't matter to me if I had Mongoose parts or Schwinn parts, but now it I wish it had the mongoose parts. Not looking to build a bone stock Mongoose motomag. I don't remember any of my friends keeping their bikes stock. We all put lighter or stronger parts on our bikes.

Re: 1976 Mongoose Motomag

Thanks for the info. I did not know. I figured that they were stamped from the beginning. should have looked at the info at vintage mongoose more carefully. I still don't think that the schwinn parts are correct to the bike even if they were replacements. I would just like to get the correct ones (probably Takagi) that were on that bike when they were sold in 76. Please let me know what you recommend.
