Anything that everybody drools over.

I prefer the obscure unicorn bikes.

Looking for Mogoose Decade spoke wheels.

Me too......owning a bike based on how rare it is isnt something for me. I mean to each his own, but that bike is friggin ridiculous looking.

Also anything old school. For me, as a 41 year old guy, the geometry on those things changed for a good reason. The handling for the most part kinda sucks. At least for race anyways......So if the handling sucks, that kind of rules out getting a good ride at the track in general. If it doesnt ride good, I see no reason to own it. Looking at them does bring back great memories, not to mention how cool they look, but beauty queens and carpet queens have no use for me. Now......MID SCHOOL is a different story!big_smilebig_smilebig_smile

First off all y'all Hutch Haters can eat a dik. tongue lol

Nobody mentioned the CW Phase One. Probably the biggest janky turd gimmick frame ever, and don't even get me started on the CW bars. I wouldn't even want a judge with those bars on it.

Actually now I think about it, I could never get the look of the specialized fat boy or the trek Y or V frame bmx bikes, a lot of bikes from that era I find just plain wrong.

I guess you could throw the mountain cycle, the redline xlr with triple clamp forks and all the crazy haros from that era in there too tongue

Popular bikes were totally regional back in the day. Where I lived if you had a chrome GT you were the top dogg. It also signified your parents were rich. But when they got into the late 80s neon colors I stopped liking them.

Re: We all want 'grails', is there a bike you'd NEVER own, no matter what?

I laugh at the "I wouldn't own BrandX, except to flip it". Well, then, you WOULD actually own it if you bought it to flip it. So, the no matter what clause means your greed overrides your dislikes. I've got no desire to have a Hutch in my collection, but, I'd buy one at a G-sale to flip, you bet.

I think that's a tall order if you think about it - you dislike a brand so much, you'd pass up an easy buck.

I can't think of one.

Not so much a brand that I dislike..., any bike with a Y shaped frame. Monocouque? Mondo-cock? Those things just ooze oversea's made, cheap, sellout, big box store to me.
