USA BMX has joined forces with the United States Olympic Committee to offer free racing at Waterford Oaks BMX Saturday June 23, 2012 in celebration of Olympic Day. Olympic Day is a worldwide commemoration of Baron Pierre de Coubertin’s June 23, 1894, convening of the first International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting at the Sorbonne in Paris, and the founding of the Modern Olympic Games. National Olympic Committees (NOCs) throughout the world will also participate in the international celebration, with each Olympic Committee sending Olympic Day greetings to participating nations. The goal of Olympic Day is to promote the Olympic values and participation in sport across the globe regardless of age, gender or athletic ability.

NO USA BMX membership required on this day.
NO entry fees. Yes that is correct race for FREE!
Registration 2:00 – 4:00 Racing starts ASAP.

had a great time today at the track here are a few pics and a video link of nick racing. he came in last but he was up against some better racers. other pic is my leg brings back some good memories.

Waterford Oaks put on a great event as always. After 25 years of hanging onto my childhood frame and fork it finally made its way back onto the track. However, this time with a new rider.

Also, it was nice to see a couple of fellow BMX Museum duders out there too (Jokerman & Braddlphns)

Thank You to everyone from the Museum for coming out and supporting the Olympic free day at Waterford Oaks. We all had a great time.

This Weekend 6-29-12 to 71-12 we are holding a three race event.
Friday 6-29 Race For Life (under the lights) double points NO USA BMX membership required for this race. Register from 5:00 – 8:00 entry fee is $20
Saturday 6-30 State Series Race registration 2-4pm, race ASAP $20
Sunday 7-1 Redline Cup Race registration 9-11am, race ASAP $30

Nice little video you got there John. I guarantee Nick could kick my butt! Hopefully someday I can make it out to that track. It looks like a lot of fun and I hear nothing but great things about it.
