2002 Arikon

Admin Note: Cool racing pics, but get pictures of the bike by itself!

Arikon Titanium 2002.

I actually have two of these bikes. One is exactly the same as the one submitted by "emac". It has a top tube length of 20.5 inches and an euro bottom bracket. I also have two sets of matching Arikon 175mm cranks. They are made of a special duraluminium alloy. THe second frame is a 21.5 inch one and has a short rear end. My son (15 at the time) loved this as a race bike. It has Chris King 36 hole front and rear BMX hubs with a 12 tooth cog. The front chainring is a 34 tooth mounted on a profile spider. The cranks are 175 mm RNC with a 22mm titanium spindle. The BB size is American. The headset is a Chris King. The brakes are Paul moto BMX. The bars are Crupi alum as is the stem. The wheels are Sun Rhino Lites with primo 1.5inch race tyres. The spokes are stainless with alloy nipples. The seatpost is a Easton carbon and the seat a Selle Italia carbon with ti rails. The pedals are Time carbon/ti clips. The chain tensioners are modified GT Ultrabox. The bar ends are RNC titanium. The bike frame cost about $350US and the whole built bike about $2,000US. Many of the parts including the Chris King hubs and headset were new/secondhand. The bike is currently being raced by my 12 (almost 13) year old daughter.

Re: 2002 Arikon

Hey Desone, welcome to the site and, cool action shots there! smile

But could take some close up shots of the bike itself?  Really hard to see any features of that frame or the parts on it.
