Dang! Now I feel self conscious about my VFR. May just have to do some work to it this winter.

Love the decals. Where did you get them?

They are custom made. Thanks for the props. This thing is sweet and I can't believe I was able to pull off that paint job with a rattle can this is only my second build and my first rattle can job. My first build I used an air gun and auto paint.

Re: Talk Dyno to me!

Damn Spanky. You spoil those VFR's with those bad azz cranks and arms! - lol

Well all you spin-tech enthusiast out there. Here is the next step in the spin-tech barrel adjuster mod evolution. Was going at it all wrong. Was trying to find something with the correct threads and trying to smooth it out to the barrel dimensions (etc. 990 mounts). Instead I went to Home Depot and found a 1" aluminum spacer that matched the exact size of an original barrel adjuster. Using the correct tap and die I then threaded the inside of the spacer to accomodate the adjuster. Finally I use my grinding wheel and rounded the end. The results are as you see pictured.
I plan to take some pictures and present a "how to" so you can make your own at home as well if you'd like. If not, you can get one from me for $10.00 shipped. smile
Now all I need to do is find out how to make a close to oem cable clamp and transfer bracket (AKA splitter).

Thanks DemondGT, Ill post updated pics soon, i found a NOS black 87 Dyno seat, and the spintech is on its way, still need the double cable upper cup..i think that will be the hardest part to find on this build. I'm still not sure what powerdisc/chainwheel combo im going to go with....and yes still looking for decals!

Lol that's because it's cheaper to buy a beat to hell set of power bites and convert them than to buy a crappy set of cranks. It's a win win.

Re: Talk Dyno to me!

So I guess I'm gonna host the 2nd annual Dyno summer build off since ooz is nowhere to be found. I hope everything is alright on his end. But if there are no objections I'm going to do it. With top prize being a spankylips custom Compe and Vfr for each class respectively.  I just picked up a few frame sets and I'm getting some help from some vendors with parts decals and paint. Any thoughts? No survivor classes just restored and custom in freestyle and race class. All years are a go.

Dude. Those top prizes are too much. Don't shell out too much on your own. Most of us would do the build off just for dahell of it! smile
