1986 Redline RL-20II

My Grail

Here is my grail.  A stunning example of BMX Freestyle genius, the 1986 (turquoise) Redline RL-20II -- often imitated, but never replicated, and the sweetest 20' ever made.  I am not the original owner, as like most of you I grew up without means and could only drool over pics.  I picked it up on eBay a couple of years ago, and outside of wrench marks on the stem it was almost new.
Not much else to say, thanks for checking it out, and there are larger pics are embedded in the discussion thread.

You know that metal plate in my head? I had to have it replaced because every time Catherine revved up the microwave I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for a half-hour or so. So, over at the VA they had to replace it with a plastic one and it ain't as strong. So, I don't know if I ought to go sailing down no hill with nothing between the ground and my brain but a piece of government plastic.

That is SWEEEET! That might be my favorite bike of all time! Nice find, super rare and in excellent shape. Hold onto it 15 more years and it will pay for your 4 year olds college fund! Awesome.lol

Re: 1986 Redline RL-20II

Thanks to all.  Glad I finally got around to registering her.

1.  Yes, a fantastic find to say the least.  I was waiting about five years for one to turn up in this condition.  Again thank God for the internet and eBay.

2.  Ja, ich wohne im Kanton Zug. Aber es ist nur für das vergangene Jahr gewesen, und mein Deutsch ist ziemlich schlecht. Alle sagen, dass ich wahrscheinlich der einzige RL-20II in der Schweiz!

3.  Thanks, I think the only AAA rated investment security these days are classic 80s bikes in near mint condition.  More valuable than first Superman comic ...

As for pics, here's a few I took of it last weekend.  Of course Swizerland is the Oregon of Europe, so the light sucked, will post more when/if it's sunny.
