DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
was at wal-mart the other day with my brother in law to get a bike tube for his bike and as we walked to the bike isle we noticed and display with DK all over it. So we walked up to it to find Pedals (for 1pc and 3pc cranks), Grips, Folding tires (20x1.95,2.05,2.25), tubes, and 1pc Seats (which were honestly really fukn lite, but plastic so would hurt if you sit). Anyway my brother in law grabbed a tube and A 2.25 Folding tire cause DK was more respectable then the other crap they have and it has a street/park tread. Got home to find it really looks like a 1.95 fully inflatted so lesson learned. But anyone else buy any of this stuff and what are your thoughts on it. If anything, only thing i would be willing to try is the seat and grips. everything else is too um...cheap i guess for my tastes

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
oh the random wrench for 29.95 is also a great deal for pretty much anyone with a bike. If you dont know what it is basically its a tool for pretty much all your normal size bike needs 3/8, 14mm, and allen wrenches.

That's pretty cool, especially if the prices are low enough for kids who are getting into riding and don't have the money.

had a random wrench for a while now ,pre-walmart. Very useful compact and handy .I dont leave home without it and a few tubes.

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
I have yet to see any DK bikes or products at the local Wal Mart. It looks like a big upgrade over the crap they normally sell.

Oo why you ask...
Because they spend 200 at Walmart mom and dad realize the bike is junk...
Then take to to my lbs, he fixes and fixes them at full cost till there no fixin left
Then mom and dad get a real bmx bike for jr. and everyone's happy

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
I like cheap plastic pedals on my rider.Looks like someone thought that display thru. Those parts are the exact ones that I might buy from them.Except those seats but NS guys that slam their seats don't care so much cuz they rarely sit on them.I think it's a good idea.

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
Walmat brings them in at said price and blows up their production. Walmart calls them up a couple years later and informs them they'll no longer be carrying their parts and bikes at the original price. Down goes DK either in price or quality.... if they choose to stay in business.

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
the bikes DK is currrently selling at Wal-Mart are Hi-Ten steel versions of thier normal bikes, take for instance the General Lee which is normally all 4130 CR-MO at wal-mart its HI-ten steel with low end parts. but for a beginer a DK for under 200 bucks even with HI-ten and low market parts would still suffice til they are good enough or can afford a nice bike. In a way it makes sense, but i wouldnt buy a complete. I listed the display and the items i would be willing to try. for NS those seats cant be beat, they weigh in at around 10oz which is lighter then most Pivotol posts. im prolly gonna grab a blue seat when i get the chance to. not cause i need it but just to add some color to my bike and loose about a pound.

But idk about my bmx parts
Compared to my 2.25 Tioga FS100 on my sunday the fully inflated size of the 2.25 proton folding he bought matched his back tire at 1.95, he actually comptemplated switching the tires cause he runs skinny in the back and it was wayyy skinny for a 2.25, may have been a fluke but just wanted to give heads up for you guys

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
on a plus note if you need a 1.95/2.05 for the back then grab a 2.25 proton
also at walmart it is the most decent street tire you can get there and its pretty grippy for a $19.95 tire

Re: DK ACCESSORIES AT WAL-MART...
Not all DK bikes at Wally World are Hi-Ten. They also carry some chromoly and aluminum frames from DK
Chromoly http://www.walmart.com/ip/DK-Xenia-26-BMX-Bike/17012261
Aluminum http://www.walmart.com/ip/DK-Fury-20-BMX-Bike/17012258
Does not appear as though the Wallys in Canada will carry DK - they are petty much stocked with all Dorel Industries / Pacific Cycle junk.

What's the PSI rating on those tires, and what do they sell for? Just curious if they're junk or not.
