Re: 1983 VDC Changa

I remember when these came out. Everybody laughed and said they were the ugliest, heaviest bikes next to the Cw Phaze 1. Nobody is laughing now HUH?  KICK A' goods Bro...

Re: 1983 VDC Changa

I had one of these back in 84'[a couple of bikes after a white powdercoated cw phase 1 ha! ha! seriously!!] Wish i had it now! It was the last bmx I owned and was fully decked out incuding 180mm diamond back turbo cranks {with the black chrome stripped off with oven cleaner],hutch bear trapps, phil wood hubs with pro class rims, mci neck, jmc bars, oakley f1's,mx1000's and a uni turbo pro14" I had about $1400 into it back then. SWEET MEMORIES DUDE!! They were rare back then and its 23 years later!! Hope you build it up, it looks RAD!! [as i would say in 84']

VDC frame and fork just sold for $1999 on ebay. Are you ready to pay that much for a f/f? How about $700 for VDC handlebars??

Re: 1983 VDC Changa

I know only one Guy that was sponsored by VDC and who has everything they ever produced: Bernd Schneider from Germany, former Freestyler, all around nice guy from Cologne. You meet him every year at Jugendpark Contest.

Re: 1983 VDC Changa

Back in the early 80's when I was racing BMX I thought The Changa was one of the weirdest looking bikes out there, aside from the Quadangle. Now, looking at the pictures posted above I have come to view it as a work of art. I would love to see more pictures of the bikes in the collection shown above.

I got a fever....and the only perscription is more cowbell.

Nice, have you built this badboy up?

Just put a deposit down on a brand new Porsche and mentioned it on Facebook. I said, "I can't wait for the new 911 to arrive!" Next thing I know 4,000 f**king Muslims have added me as a friend!
