1990 Auburn CR20R
1990 Auburn CR20R
Auburn Racing 20" BMX Frame - A division of GT Bikes at the start of the 90's
This is one extremely nice bike after restoring it, an old find in a NZ dump
Auburn 2-piece race frame, original as I found it in the last pic, has no-name wheels, pitbull rear brake, no-name lever, old GT grips and Old GT seat
Tange 2A Forks, Dyno pretzel bars
.
I planned to build this up in red and black
Powdercoated frame, rearend and forks
So far, Ano red Arayas, red walls, candy coated Tourney Caliper, Original Auburn crmo bars, Diacompe red levers, NOS Aero seat, NOS chrome slant post,
GT seatpost clamp, GT grips, GT alloy end plugs, GT polished Chainring and powdered black cranks with NOS VP beartrap pedals
.

I know, and I love it too..... but what colours to use is the great question
I decided on a red and black scheme
Came out pretty good.....

Yep correct, the old Araya 7C's made from 1979 onwards
The sidewalls have been lightly sanded back and polished
For an original set the colour is still vibrant for 30+ years,
the sunshine hubs have slightly faded over time thou....
I also have some 7X rim set too, both in red and gold
just respoking a couple sets at the mo for some more Healing rides
