Recycling yard find

So I took some cans to the recycling yard, and on a whim I asked the attendant if they had any bikes layin around. He pointed me in the direction of the "bike" area. I found a Wal-goose and this thing. He said it was a Haro. The only stampings were the SN and a two letter code on the bottom of the crank tube. I have no clue what it is. It is aluminium, it has Haro forks, Fusion head set, the wheels are mismatched. Any help is appreciated. Here's some pics...

Lookin for black winners circle grips. Don't need to be NOS. Just decent enough for a rider.

Re: Recycling yard find

I've come to the conclusion that a Haro it is not. The dropouts don't have the stamp, or any stamping for that fact. I figure the kid at the recycling place said that because it has Haro forks on it. Those are stamped. I've been lookin through the museum for anything. I haven't found a thing yet. Maybe someone has the keen eye?!?! lol

Re: Recycling yard find

If the pedals are OG, you'd find those on both GTs and Dynos. The triple triangle frame style could suggest GT or usually Dynos have the D stamp somewhere...

Stolen: 2001 chrome Redline 24" from the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington state early August 2011. All stock except black Specialized fork. Frame had dent on gusset at headtube. Was covered in beer and hippie stickers when stolen. Especially look for it in Washington, Oregon, Idaho but could be anywhere in the US. Then proceed to kick their butt and then you can have it.

Re: Recycling yard find

Right on!!! A cheapy!!! big_smile

It's a Rhino! The closest thing I could find was a turn n burn. Either way Seeing how it's an aluminium frame I'm gonna build it with some light stuff, and I'll make some way out stickers for it. Funny thing is I've never bought a bike by the pound. That was a trip.

I would have made a mental note, but I'm out of paper. lol

I haven't done anything to it yet. I was thinking of stripping the paint off the front and maybe having Juan at the truck stop polish the snot outta it? Dunno just yet. big_smile
