1986 GT Performer

rare GRAY survivor!

this is a very late '86 GT performer in hard to find gray color - complete survivor except new DURO skinwall tires - still has the bike shop sticker!

im pretty sure this was the last component package GT released in '86 for the performers before the start of the '87 model year, it has none of the GT stamped parts like the seatpost clamp or mallet stem...but such a cool color to find!

Re: 1986 GT Performer

Very cool especially in that rare color! I regret getting rid of my F serial 86:( Full cr-mo and didn't have the goofy headtube angle

Soo cool!  Where do you find these grey GT's?  I have only seen them here in the museum, and never BITD.

Re: 1986 GT Performer

Nice find Mike! I had an 86 Performer bitd and it came with the usual stamped components - There were a lot of Pro Performers and Performers in my neighborhood and I do not ever remember seeing one outfitted like this one...Awesome find!

Re: 1986 GT Performer

My 88 came from the same shop! You should sell me your performer to re-unite them.smile
