Nice face plant! That second one looked pretty much perfect though, way to go.

ah, just watched the one you made.  Keep it up man.  Looks like a nice ramp.  You'll be peg stalling etc in no time.

just chuck on some shin and knee pads.  Feels like a suit of armour.

Tuck your weight back more & you'll be good.
A half-crank more of speed would help too.
Stay padded up & keep it up.

I do need to wear more pads!!!  cool
Yes, I need to keep my weight back more!

I will, thank you!

Sweet... nice second attempt drop-in.  Before you know it, you'll be catching air on the quarter.

I hope you're wearing shin guards at least. big_smile

I was dumb, no pads.

I have shin/knee guards and I will order arm/elbow guards.

Re: At age 40 I finally dropped in!

I have yet to "drop in" also, but I'm more afraid of my giant chainrings getting caught up on the coping, since I do not own a bike with micro gearing. yikes

Keep it up, tho. You are giving me the ecouragement to finally do it, too. smile

HOOAH!!!  Thank you, I love the Orange Soda as well.  Someone posted a Chrome Gary Young Signature model in the Sunday thread, very nice!!!

I will stay with it!!  I am learning a little at a time.  I actually had two successful attempts prior to the face plant and two after.  cool

I've been doing them on my Supergoose with a 44 up front and never had a problem. You can do it.
last roll in I did was at a huge park and I rolled through a puddle . The front tire slipped on the stupid metal coping and I almost went arse up. Wasn't pretty though. lol

I stay away from big chainrings and water at the park!

I do have much love for 39t plus chainrings, but they are just is not for me at the park.

Re: At age 40 I finally dropped in!

Looks good D! The second vid you posted still looks like you are riding in. Aside from keeping your weight back as other have posted... The next thing you might try is giving it a little hop on the way in. This will force you to commit and get you in there. I know that worked for me. Also watch where your head/shoulders are pointed.  If you look at the first vid you never really leaned "into" the transition. Either way big ups man keep it up!

I will keep using the Sunday, I love it.  I like it's small size and maneuverability.  It is very stable and comfortable under foot!

Great job, bro!
I haven't dropped in in many, many years. And as I get older, the more sketched I become. Freakin' 40 years old! roll
I guess I need to hit a skatepark and do some practicing.

Would you look at this doughnut?
