1984 Diamond Back Viper

First Bike growing up, First build on the museum..

This build was my first since refinding the BMX hobby, and first since joining the Museum.. This bike had a particular interest for even buying it.. This was my first "real" bike that I got for my 7th Birthday.. I thought I was the radest kid on the block. So this was just a cool F/F that I picked up and learned as I went  through building it..

Re: 1984 Diamond Back Viper

Same story here. It's been a lot of fun getting back into this thing and building bikes. Brakes were a little tricky at first but no problem now. 990's for my freestylers were a challenge at first and the looking and buying experience has been a lot of fun. Your DB's are are some of the nicest I've seen!

Everyday I'm sessioning. :-)

Well if you got this bike as your first I can say you were the raddest kid on the block.  Great build.

Re: 1984 Diamond Back Viper

My first real bike growing up was this same model, except chrome and black. I just remember how excited my father was when he gave me the bike.  He worked overtime for a few months just to have enough to buy it.  I was amazed at the upgrade in quality and detail compared to my huffy. Thanks for posting!
