Can we see a pic of the flanges on those hutch mags?
just curious.
By flanges do you mean hubs? If so they are red stone hubs.
They seem very similar to the stock red stones you see apart from the square intersections between the hub surround and the spokes. This also makes the spoke spacing a little wider than stock red stones
The wooden hub covers were to protect the chrome during the vapour blasting.
I thought your mags look similar to Red Stone ... so they even have the slotted metal hub covers! Does it say made in Japan or made by OGK anywhere? Trying to figure out where Red Stones were made. ![]()

Re: Mike "Hollywood" Miranda
Sorry all i know about my mags is that they were probably made in france with dupont nylon for a Mike Mirranda endorsed range. I'm not even sure that they even reached production as i have never seen these mags before and only have two adds in the french magazine Bicross to go off.
The hubs have long slots and red stone in a script font but nothing else. I dont know if they bought the red stone hubs in or they worked with them.
i'm sort of as lost as you ![]()

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?
No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Hey oldschoolace, thanks for sharing! I think it might be worthwhile to submit such a rare wheel to the reference section of the museum.

Re: Mike "Hollywood" Miranda
Hope this one is not too big? Colour is pretty bad.
Must have been a fun session that day on that jump, lots of nice crisp pics from it. I always tried to copy that style of the bottom left hand pic, just roll the bras forward a bit more. Classic.

One more Hollywood. One of these days I am going to try and hunt down a Baby Blue frame/fork. But for now, here's the Pink one.

Does anybody have a good shot of Mikes Baby Blue bike in race trim? The poster above is the only one I've seen so far, and lets just say I need some Baby blue inspiration. ![]()

Re: Mike "Hollywood" Miranda
To this day, Mike Miranda is still one of the best people I've met in the sport today. Hanging out with him and Timmy at the races was always a great time for sure.
