well since this fizzled out; im going to post up some spray can action!
BMW park bike (proto i was told) 24 or 26

stripped and simi polished the chromoly

burled the gussets and head tube - painted trans red


complete

now i can finally add this thing to the few BMW's listed in the museum

I feel for you guys that put out time and money for this. I've been around a while and it's the first time I've saw a buildoff abandoned. If you go to the 44t thread post 4003 you'll see that he's been around long after you all got dropped on your head. I think you should pick someone to run it for you since you all built the bikes, do it for the heck of it just to complete it. You could let members here vote. Just some ideas.

You are right. People did a great job on their builds. They should be shown off. Maybe we should make a 'Rattlecan Finished' thread. Just so we can give props to everyone for their builds.

As for prizes, we can come up with something. I shared a few ideas with Dale about possible prizes. Maybe we can do those.

Speaking of prizes...what's become of the donated parts for the Frankenbike?

i could donate some vintage restored yellow mags and some nos gold ano v bars. anyone else wanna pony something up

My wife and I had a moderate chunk of change fall in our lap and we ended up buying some Kayaks (Old Town Twin Otter tandems)  - so I've spent many weekends this summer out on the lake near my house, instead of building the Shogun I entered.

It's mostly painted, but i never built the wheelset or got decals printed.

I'm entering it in the calendar buildoff. I think I can get it done before 10/24.

If this buildoff ever comes back to life (rattlecan ZOMBIE mayhem, anyone?) I'll happily enter it.

Here's mine. Everything white is spray painted except tires. You would never know its rattle canned by looking at it

I didnt take off, and still have all the donations.
