1984 Open Road Race Certified

" Race Certified" department store bike.

I was hitting a few garage sales when I saw a chrome looptail sticking out from behind some stuffed animals and old records. When I came closer I realized it was an open road, but it was still a chrome looptail so I picked it up.
It appears to be original accept for the decal on the head tube and the top tube. It is in as found condition in the pictures, but now it is boxed up ( trying to sell). But maybe someday if I don't sell it, I might get to it.

Re: 1984 Open Road Race Certified

I now own this bike and my son loves riding it. I think we made the deal last summer (2013) at the El Torreon Swap Meet in KC MO.

I get this question often so here it is to save everyone time. I do not have any Mongoose DMC decals left. I was lucky enough to find a small bunch of NOS decal sets in an old bike shop that no longer exists and I have since sold them all. Sorry. I wish you all the best of luck with your DMC builds.
