Im thinking of doing my own build-off on here. One a bit different then most. This would be a custom only build off. A build off where u let ur ideas go crazy with color,parts,themes,etc. No carpet queens,no era correct show stoppers. I want to see the not so popular bikes,that are just sitting there,built into something.

Im thinking 2 classes,minor rules,very simple. Classes would be race,and freestyle.

Rules would be:
Any bike from 1990 to 2012 accepted
Must show 3 before shots,3 finished shots,1 shot of it being ridden. Whos riding it,dont matter.

Thats about it. Id like to give a decent amount of time to start and finish.

Again,I wanna see the less desirable bikes get some love. I wanna see the rattle cans create some cool looking paint jobs,etc. Im sure alot of us have a frame we are probably never gonna touch,or whatever. Murrays,huffys,nexts,are all welcomed. I wanna see rusty,turned into trusty.

Thoughts,suggestions,opinions are welcomed,and asked for.

Please know,there will be no fancy prizes,or trophys. Just pride,unless anyone wants to help with this,and is creative with making stuff like trophys lol,or wants to donate something.

Allow 80's. I got a 86 that I may have time to play with rattle cans. Not sure I'd finish it but would try.

Keep it open, regardless of year. I'd love to see people ruin otherwise carpet queens.

Ok,heres some rules that are just a thought for right now....

â€ Rattle Can Mayhemâ€ Build-off
2 classes-.freestyle and race
No year restriction
Bike must be painted by u!
Rattle can only
No previously painted bikes,so color must change!
Cano is allowed so chrome bikes are welcome
Must post atleast 3 before pics in the submission thread
Submission must be in by 6/1/12
Must post atleast 3 finished pics,and.1 of the bike being ridden.
No limitations on size,but must be a bmx bike,no mtbs,fixies,etc.
1 bike per class,per person,so ur max is 2 u can enter.
both classes will have a top 5 as far as winners(if big enuff)
Winner picked based on votes

As far as prizes,ill see what I can figure out if anything. I did like the calendar idea,but im no good at stuff like that.

Oh and....

Ur bike must be finished,and posted in the Finished Entry thread which will go up in august,and be closed on 9/1 for final voting.

I might consider this, since you mentioned the "canodizing" rule. I was just recently looking through all the parts for a summer project. Looks like I'll be tainting a DB race frame if I enter.
