Re: 1975 Redline

I have learned from Mr. Kastan that they started the serial numbers at 100.
That would make this the 525th Redline! SWEET!! Also learned that built 1000 of them.
Dude...... Ya got to be proud!

Re: 1975 Redline

Slight correction. This would be RL # 526 because when you start at 100 it would be as if you where starting to count from zero on up. 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105.... on up.

Re: 1975 Redline

Nitto also made V-Bars for Kuwahara/Tange bikes. There were also Kozumi (not sure of the spelling??) made Redline bars (later Redline mid 80's ish). Tuf Neck had alloy bars that were the same spec as the Redline as well (I think these were also made by Kozumi). Kozumi is the company that made Diamond Back.

Re: 1975 Redline

We used to call them SpiderWeb mags. Those things were steel though and made your bike really heavy. These mags were before Skyway Tuff Wheels. My buddy was really heavy and he used to ahve a pair on his bike because when he jumpded ramps with spoked rims all of the spokes used to shoot out like darts.
