1997 Powerlite P61
1997 Powerlite P61 with carbon Spin rims.
This is my new baby. Just got a Powerlite P61 AL from 1997. I bought a pair of carbon Spin rims from a friend and he contacted me with the owner of his old Powerlite and the guy nicely sold it to me and shipped it right away. Ofcourse the very first thing i did was throw on it the Spin rims, everything else is just as i got it.

* Cranks: GT 185 mm with Sealed bearings
* Headset: Chris King
* Chainring: Redline Flight (Changed it since the pic was taken)

* Brakes: Shimano XTR with DXR lever.
* Pedals: Wellgo
* Grips: Odi Long Neck

Re: 1997 Powerlite P61
One of my first favorite mid school bikes. Looks fast just sitting there, and I particularly like the fourth shot.

Luther Is A Good Ol' Dog Club -- See you at the Rainbow Bridge, my friend!
If it weren't for the Ford Mustang, the world would totally suck.
If you have a line on a Kappa Adidas cruiser, PM me! -- NEVERMIND!!!

Re: 1997 Powerlite P61
Thanks guys. I really cant wait till the winter is over so i can ride it the way its supposed to! ![]()
I just love Powerlites! and soon i'll start building up a new one out of a Spitfire frame i bought here through the museum.
There are only 2 bikes that i always dreamed having, One is this P61 exactly the way i have it, and the other one is a Haro Monocoque, which now days are harder to come by, but i know i'll eventually find a good one. ![]()

Re: 1997 Powerlite P61
Man i love all your bikes... I've checked them many times before. Specially that Schwinn! Its a piece of art!
I actually got a new set of tires for it, but are all black. I should have thought of that before.
And i actually wanted to paint my Monocoque white based on yours. But i think im gonna try a different color. I want it to be different from all the others in the museum.
Although there are only 2 whites, yours and the Police one...
I was between all black, white and all black parts, or orange and all black parts...
Any sugestions?
