Midschool is 1987 to 2003 I'd say.

Thermal count is rising, In perpetual writhing. The primordial ooze, And the sanity they lose. Awakened in the morning, To more air pollution warnings. Still we sleepwalk off to work, While our nervous systems jerk. Pretending not to notice, How history had forebode us. With the green house in effect, Our environment was wrecked. Now, I can only laugh, As I read our epitaph. We end our lives as moles, In the dark of DAWN PATROL

Re: Who are the true early mid-school collectors out there?
i always think of mid school starting when linear pull (v brakes) showed up on frames. you still see a lot of 88-89 bikes that aren't any different then there 84-87 brothers and sisters.

Re: Who are the true early mid-school collectors out there?
There is a clear brake in technology seperating midschool. Not only the brakes, threadless headsets, progress in fork construction, companies really started to use high end butted tubes, and aluminum becomes big time
I think sometime in the future, anything aluminum becomes mid school as all the major manufactures move back towards steel for it's superior durability and feel.
