Cool bike. I just ordered one of these for the same reason you did. Let's hope us old farts can still ride! If nothing else it will be fun trying.

Re: 2011 DK Opsis

Concur with all...............I've been quite inspired riding it lately, compared to my 2007 WTP Metric, she's much more forgiving, I landed a no handed, no footed handle bar ride today, I use to ride around on my bars in high school, got alot of cool accolades, I just wish I kept it up, booz, chicks, and work mad
I'm going for a surfer down the beach this weekend, I can ride on with my left foot on the handlebars, and right foot on the top tube, still working up to the step up on the seat.  I'd love to see some posts / pics / vid of your progress.
Later,
Shane.

Re: 2011 DK Opsis

Well unfortunately I'm sad to report I found the flaws.  After riding this bad boy for the last 4 weeks, I crushed the front bearing (unsealed), bent the front axel (severely), destroyed the breaks.  That being said, I am 6'2" - 200lbs, and I know I need to configure her better (new rims - probably going to put 48's on, that's how I rode back in the day), install some better breaks (Tektro sad) - and put some Primo PC or Shadow aluminum pedals on her.

I still love the frame and the way the bike is built/handles, it just needs some better/stronger components as with any bike purchased complete.

Re: 2011 DK Opsis

Nice moves on YouTube Shane. And yeah I like it alot so far, not too keen on the slack in the freecoaster but overall very satisfied.
Still working on improving basic balance and beginner stuff like footjam tailwhip, etc... I dont get much solo time with life and all but feels great to be getting started at 35! smile

Yeah the PBR's it came with suck.....I replaced the rims with RANT Rear and RANT front Aero style, large axel on the rear rim and a male into femaie flush in the front, love that new style of axel.
