Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

i don't know much about them, other than they had some high end stuff.  Usually very well made.  As far as what it is worth, that is up to you or the person that wants to buy it.

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

thank you.  it did turn out pretty sweet.  i have a hard time doing slow builds (stretched out over time) and end up getting all the stuff whether i can afford it or not.  lol

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

lewy, those are redline forklifter aluminum bars.  Not sure if they still make them, but you could check your local bike shop and have them check Seattle Bike Supply.

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

those are great rims.  not sure why companies stop making a product when it does really good.  My son loves the bike, (changed a little now) and especially the wheels.

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

pj, I have a set of those red Redline Forklifter bars too.  I was gonna put them on my 24" cruiser, but now that I look at all the other lifters on people's cruisers, thier cross bar is fatter and is u-shaped.  The bar on ours is straight.
I didn't think these were Expert size because they are 26.25" long and about 6" high, but maybe I'm wrong.

So are these regular size bars, expert size, or cruiser bars?

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

i just sold mine on ebay.  a little wide for my son.  Mine were 27" x 6".  The ones on my cruiser are lower yet.  Not sure about the others, probably different eras of the bars with different specs.

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

I think these are your bars!   Lovely -but just not sure what size/type they are.  Should I use them on my son's powerlite expert (just like yours!), on my pro cruiser, or on my Powerlite P41 pro?  Most Expert size bars are 24 - 25" wide.  I've seen pro cruiser bars as skinny as 26", but most are 27 or 28.

Re: 1996 Powerlite Expert

Thats funny, i thought they looked just like the ones i sold lol
I would go cruiser with them.  I have shorter bars on my cruiser, but it seems like most like the higher bars like these for their cruisers.

I finally got the bikes 'almost' finished last night.  Still have a set of pitbull brakes to put on the Expert.
