1984 Torker Pro X

My old race bike!

So fortunate to have held on to my Torker Pro X for all these years. I've always kept her inside everywhere I've lived. She never made it to the shed or garage. My father bought this bike for me from the Starting Gate Bike Shop in Ripley, WV. in 1985 from Jeff Ray. I had been riding a Mongoose Californian before stepping up to this. My time in BMX was pretty short lived because I discovered freestyle 2 years later, but I always loved this bike more than any I ever owned. Except for the wheels, tires, and grips, this is exactly as I left it from my last race. The setup includes Torker bars, seat, and 6 bolt stem. I added the CW cranks later in the race season because it came with one piece stock cranks.

And you'll pick me up how, on that dumb bike?  Yeah!

Love the bike, and the story makes it that much nicer. I never let my old race bike go either, but it did sit in a shed for 25 years ;-)

Thanks, Cache. I'm sure your bike was fine out in the shed. I know you looked in on her from time to time! big_smile
