1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour
1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour
Definitely one of my most wanted builds.
I was looking high and low for one of these before finally finding one here on the Museum. I bought the F/F and most of the parts for the build from a member here. Probably 90% of the parts and bike were repowdered by Chip at C4. I tried to build it as true to specs as I could. Thanks to radmeon for the Superlace wheels! I wish I knew the bike's life history so I could tell the story of it here. I'm completely satisfied with it and so stoked that I could find one for my holy grail collection!
And you'll pick me up how, on that dumb bike? Yeah!

Great job! I've been trying to find a project 87 PFT myself... seems it's a little harder than I had anticipated. ![]()

It's fun to see the same clapped out 20$ part posted at the same price, for the 30th time. At what point will you just give it to someone who might use it?

I know I know.
I ended up buying an 87 Haro Sport Frame this weekend to get the ball rolling and feed the machine. But, every time I see a PFT like yours, I know I won't be satisfied until I've restored one of those beauties. ![]()

Haha. I was just concerned for the post and seat tube.. was it past the min line? this is how posts get bent, or worse, seat tubes cracked ![]()
I sent mine to chip today. I caved.

GTOne- Yeah, I've seen those pics that people take in the sun! Crazy neon color!
kbillan- I guess I just tried to match it to the bars. It does look better lowered. ![]()
