Re: gauging interest on a Washington DC area ride and/or meet.

I hate to bring up working on cars again, but I'll be swapping out the struts in the caravan and taking it in for an alignment on Sat. Going to NY the following weekend.

It might be time to start discussing a date for the BIG FALL RIDE.
I vote for some time in October. Anyone have a problem with October?
Weekends in October:
10/6-7
10/13-14
10/20-21
10/27-28

10/20-21 is the only weekend that's no good for me at this point. Going up to Buffalo for the Bills/Titans game.

No offense but I suck at negotiating, so rule of thumb: When dealing with me just assume the price is firm unless I say "OBO".

There wasn't any shirts made, just stickers. There wasn't enough interest last time to have them made.

It's like the old Seinfeld episode.  You need a bike that's Oakley worthy.  Between the Trick Star and the Pro Racer, I would definitely put them on the Pro Racer.

hmm You must mean that my Trick Star is too good for Oakleys. wink I think it's worthy of some $900 NOS Hutch grips. lol

I'm just partial to race bikes over freestyle bikes.

As for $900 Hutch grips, all I can say is ... some folks need to get a grip.  That's the kind of crap that that ruined the road racing scene.

Chill, Hank.  I'm blessed.

Don't worry, I hate those grips. I would never spend $200 on grips. $175, sure, but not $200. smile

And it didn't go with my idea, a dirt bike. But olive green, yup right color for the dirty dirt jumper. I all ready hate the mongoose style stickers... But that silver and the stickers was way too mongoosey for me lol sorry.
I'll tell you a sericet... I hate mongoose lol I know I'll get flamed for this but... IMHO I hate em lol

Yup, Mogoose or a Diamond Back.  Those were the bikes you wanted in my neighborhood.  I still get giddy when I see those old chrome Diamond Backs and the white n black uniforms.  That brings back memories.

Oo I know and I know if it wasn't for them we would not be here, this convo would not exist. Nore would we know each other.
Yes your 100% rt when I was growing up they were junk.. So that is part of the problem. Even when I see a mongosse Cali. I still see a big Walmart price tag on it I know it's not rt.. But lol that's what I see

But even if I was around in the 80s.. Well I was but 3 years old but I still bet I wouldn't like the goose then either.
Not because of where they will be sold at later in there life. I jut don't like there bikes, sticker combos ,colors ,frames , ect.
Just me tho. Now if my Sunday had some skyway tast to it like the new ones......... Ooooo now that's me!!!!!
Or some early fbm styling.. Yup. That's me rt there
But don't get me wrong I will never knock anyone's goose. I just do not like em one bit .
I know you still got one, I kinda wanna check it out dude

Re: gauging interest on a Washington DC area ride and/or meet.

Right on!

I may have to work o'dark early for the launch SAT morning, but will catch a few z's before heading down to the Greenbelt Metro station (like a 10 minute ride from work).  Not sure what time anyone wants to meet.  I figure about 45 minutes from the station to the MALL in D.C.

Weather looks cooler right now (like 70's), but there's a chance of rain (planning to bring a rain slicker in a pack just in case).
