2005 Evolution Bikes Not Yours
Bike has been in the museum since 06 but something funky happened in the past few months and we have lost more than a few submissions out of the museumbikes area...
Evolution Bmx, address is defunct now: http://www.evolutionbmx.com// Not much info on the net about them so if anyone has any info please contact me and I will get it on site, or if you have a Evolution frame with uncut rear drops... Yes the frame is called a Not Yours frame. Bought off of a friend who was a rider for Evolution, no factory serial number.
I'll have to post some new pics, bike has been changed around a little.

Na Billy still has his blue Evolution frame that he got from Jason, I bought this one off of Jason a couple months ago since he's riding for Soild now. Although Billy's is like 10+ lbs lighter than mine because of his parts lol.

Not to me lol I'm used to 8 pounders, this one's around 6, for me that's super light! Sure it's no 4 lb Grim Reaper but it gets the job done.

Nice ride Hellmutt... Keep up the good work!
Question: Can we learn about the weight of our frames from their serial mumbers?

Best way is to just put it on a hanging scale.
Steel is Real!
It's nice to be important but its more important to be nice.

Yeah what Thrash said! lol I don't think any company codes the weight of their bikes right in to the serial numbers, you can always lookup the frame weights in old catalogs (that is if you don't have a frame to weigh) or on the companies website (depending on the year of course).
AND: Thanks for the comment Duke!! ![]()

BMX-Test has a weight guide on their site. Not much help for those strictly into old school bikes, but a great resource for us folks into mid/new school BMX as well. Comes in handy, especially if you are weight conscious.

Cool site DoomX, not that diversified on the brand content but still damn good. I think their bike review sections should be moderated a bit better though, moron fake ghetto kids writing dribble like "yo dat bik is das shizzznitzle" and other blabber to the same effect with no real helpful input towards the products.

Re: 2005 Evolution Bikes Not Yours
Good call, Hellmutt. If you sift through the comments though, you can occasionally find some good advice. I check the reviews before making purchases, just to see if anyone has had problems with the product. The reviews also usually have pictures, which come in handy when trying to identify a frame.
But yeah, "NextRyda420" and his homies usually have nothing good to say.

Re: 2005 Evolution Bikes Not Yours
Yea read some more reviews on that site, it is cool to have all that info there in one spot instead of searching forever to try and find all the seperate parts reviews. Lots of funny but true comments posted as well, like one tire review "The good: Held air, allowed bike to roll." priceless!
The people there who bag on bikes no matter if they're high or low quality are just sad and probably have more riding experience in on a Power Wheel than a bicycle. ![]()
