I should just keep it to myself ... nope; cannot.
I think so, but I had bad, bad and worse luck with Hutch bikes as a kid. ![]()
Looking back to the best (built, styled, and function) overall BMX/Freestyle bike I ever had it was my 1985 Street Beat (snot green).
The only thing that makes me sad about that bike is no longer having it.

Both were great brands when they were made in the USA.

Re: Skyway's are becoming more valuable/popular than Hutch?
Skyway was and still is a "parts manufacturer" but Tuff Wheels per se.
Hutch was more of a "complete bike" manufacturer, but not really parts.
Skyways are rarer, especially the TAs. Skyway freestyle models were never really that popular nor do they fetch a lot of money.
Hutch has many racing models but only few e.g. ProStar fetch a lot of money; the Trickstar is the rival to the RL 20 II, but I think the RL 20 II is more highly sought.
Skyway > Hutch imho.

I would rather have an 82' Skyway than a 80' Hutch anyday.

I'd rather have a Skyway over a Hutch, but if I had a chance to get a Hutch at a great price, I'm all over it. Both have great looking bikes!!![]()

I'd rather have a 86-87 Redline 20II than any Hutch or Skyway.

Re: Skyway's are becoming more valuable/popular than Hutch?
I have noticed a large price drop in the Hutch Pro Racer from a few years ago. The TA frame has been one of the few frame sets that have held there value. The cost of building a Hutch has always been in the parts you choose to use. Now when you start talking about the hard to find Hutch Frames Pro Star, drilled and blank bridge pros, hollywoods, etc then they are fetching a pretty penny. If course I'm talking about real deal frames not repainted to look like a Hollywood or re stickered to look like a pro star.

Every kid on my block growing up had a Skyway TA and trashed em hard.
Skyway has always been greater than Hutch, but $200 for a pair of mags? No way. Thats too steep for me personally.

I beg to differ..
I agree almost every time on the US made product except for the first batch of T/A's that were built in 1982 in Japan. They are the best...
Just my opinion
