1983 Boss
1983 Boss
Boss frame without a doubt, year could be off, almost identical dimensions as my 83
Got this on a trade, it's a Boss with a rear lower gusset from Panda, serial # B0320, 18-1/2" long x 1" diameter top tube, 1-1/4" bottom tube. I am 94% sure this is an early Boss that was made by Carlo , also notice the non stepped head tube ,could alway's use input if any is out there.

Re: 1983 Boss
I believe it to be a L&S creations.......(Lucia&Sons) he purchased US Boss back in 1990. Steve Veltman raced for
them. I don't have mine anymore will have to look for some pics but I am sure that's exactly identical to my old
frame. Great bikes.
Quoted from Wikipedia: Enter Steve Veltman
L&S (Lucia & Son) Racing: January 1990-April 1991. L&S was started by the same person who previously owned U.S. Boss Racing Products, Carlo Lucia.[16

Re: 1983 Boss
Enjoy the knowlege ! thanks, one of the guy's from Boss , now owns a bike shop here in the bay area from what I have been told, I will get the skinny soon hopefully. The L & S idea has been thrown around, but the headtube and serial # doesnt fit L & S products from what I have learned, even if it turns out to be a L & S it still would be a real rare frame, but I think it's a Boss/Panda.Thanks

Re: 1983 Boss
It's definitely a Boss!
I have a few Boss, 1 the same as yours with a similar b serial# I believe the year model has to do with the letter and yours has the same as mine which i was told was an 86 junior team F/F which would make sense if they started this system with 1985 being A, the reason for this is I also have a pro size and freestyle F/F both with d serial# which 1 i got from a friend of mine that I definitely know bought it in or about 88 when i also got my FS Boss BITD.
If you have better information/leads i would love to hear.
Cheers
John

Re: 1983 Boss
It is a L&S possibly or a 80s Team Model looks like a mini thats why the non machined head tube, but Carlo was not US Boss that is Jess Guymond and Brent Patterson.
