Wow!That's a Frame/Fork that brings back some memories!...I bought a 1/4 Flash brand new here in ohio back in '87 when I was 15 & decked it out for Flatland/Vert...There ain't too many days that go by that I don't kick myself for sellin'that bike!lol...Weighin'in at about 23lbs you could catch some serious air on that scoot!

They never used "knock off" anything on Schwinn...they were kings of using only name brand,"Schwinn Approved" parts....IMO - Schwinns weren't the "cool guy" bikes, but are insanely high quality for a mass produced bike and always came with killer components.(then again,it's hard to call a Sumo a knock off)

lol Whatever,That was not always the case. This bike came with sumo araya 7x copy rims, and lee chi dia-compe 1000 copy brakes. The bars are CW copies too. tongue  My best friend and I both bought 1 new from pats schwinn that is now pat cyclery in mesa arizona in the 80's.

This is where we bought them from brand new.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l122/Rich6372/PatsCycleryMesaArizona.jpg
