1986 Schwinn Predator 1/4 Flash
i'd like to build this up stock, but some parts are hard to find. i need... araya 7x's laced to sr mh301 hubs black or white viscount dyna blue and silver stem pad black or white sr sp518c platform pedals schwinn predator comp 3 tires (these will be hard to track down) oh, and i don't want to spend a lot lol.

Wow!That's a Frame/Fork that brings back some memories!...I bought a 1/4 Flash brand new here in ohio back in '87 when I was 15 & decked it out for Flatland/Vert...There ain't too many days that go by that I don't kick myself for sellin'that bike!lol...Weighin'in at about 23lbs you could catch some serious air on that scoot!

Hi,There is a set of those tires on ebay. Also this bike had silver sumo araya knock off rims stock. Me,and My best friend both had this bike when we where kids.

i also have BMXAction v11#3 from march of 86. they tested the 1/4 flash. both of these state the rims to be araya

i have a all original schwinn 1/4 flash the only thing i changed was the stem i bent it rideing the other day but put on a suntour period correct with the headlock and ame tri grips but that bike does have arayas also bike is going up for sale real soon i just want to dig up an original sr sakae stem for it so it will be all original

I HAVE THE SAME BIKE ALL STOCK BUT THE TIRES . YOURS IS PRETTY COOL CANT WAIT TO SEE THE FINISHED PRODUCT. MINE WILL BE SUBBMITTED SOON.

They never used "knock off" anything on Schwinn...they were kings of using only name brand,"Schwinn Approved" parts....IMO - Schwinns weren't the "cool guy" bikes,but are insanely high quality for a mass produced bike and always came with killer components.(then again,it's hard to call a Sumo a knock off)

Whatever,That was not always the case. This bike came with sumo araya 7x copy rims,and lee chi dia-compe 1000 copy brakes. The bars are CW copies too.
My best friend and I both bought 1 new from pats schwinn that is now pat cyclery in mesa arizona in the 80's.
This is where we bought them from brand new.
