Neat Idea, I like themem bikes.. and 57 chevys are super cool too..
need to figure a way to add some fins eh?

well.. fins would be cool, but gimicky like people said with my warbird bikes gun sight... I will kinda mimick the 57 with my own twist and hope it comes out well!!!!!!!

THIS WILL GO ON A HIGH POWDERED BUFFING WHEEL TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A MIRROR..... BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED WITH CHROME, AND SOME CHROME PLUGS IN THEM... OLD MUSCLE WAS ALL CHROME AND BLING

Just got some chrome SUN RINGLE ENVYS for this build. And to top it off. Steve over at BULLEYE CYCLE is sending some polished hubs. This thing is going to be sick!!!!!!!! Thank you Jon Wells over at SUN for taking care of me over the years and Thank you also to Steven over at BULLSEYE for taking good care of us over the years too!

I just need to get a fork now to send this to powder...

I hope you plan on having a pair of "Dagmars" on your forks. Dagmars are what car collectors call the boobs on the front bumpers of '57 Chevies.

Parts on the way for this build...

The Hawk Racing bottom bracket was the starting point for the Folmer BMX crank set. The new crank set is the lightest crank set on the market, affordable, and it comes standard with our high end Hawk Racing bottom bracket. These are strong enough to take any abuse from the toughest of tracks.

Cool idea but don't see how you are going to make it a 57 Chevy theme without some actual styling from the car.Their main features are the fins and bullet bumpers.I will be anxious to see what you come up with.I have a 57'2 door post gasser with tunnel rammed Lt1, ,fenderwell headers, fiberglass flip nose,and Muncie 4 speed.Bmx is chump change compared to building one of these!LOL

It will be 57 Chevy inspired, not really a theme bike.

Colors and lots of chrome, some trinkets.

I need to get pics of the wheels built, man are they sweet.. Frame, fork and bars are finally on the way out for powder.. I need to get back on this for sure.. Got a killer stainless steel seat post clamp, polished odyssey seat post.. still waiting for my retrobmx seat.... Hopefully progress in a week or 2

Frame is currently with Chip over at C4 labs and I cant wait to see this!! Its going to be amazing... I just got a polished snap seat post clamp and polished tentioners to go with all the chrome and polish... Now for cranks to get and brakes.. I am still unsure of the combo?

I can't wait to see this done, I'm glad I'm not the only one doing car influenced builds, the 2 I have going right now are based on muscle bikes, one is '50 Ford influenced, the taking cues from first generation Camaros
