1991 Auburn CR20RX
1991 Auburn CR20RX
1991 Auburn CR20RX, fully restored. Completed on rebuilt over the last year. Finished on 1/5/2013 for the most part
Green Auburn bicycle with powerlite handlebars, DK neck,GT FSA sealed stem bearings(think called), GT seat clamp, Sugino GT 3 piece cranks and GT 44 tooth sprocket. Pitbull brakes. FEMCO front rim and Weinman rear rim. 21 inches from head tube to down tube. Was my bike when I was younger. Have been out of the seen for awhile, but have always liked this bike. bike is probably real close to being a 1992 since it was built in december of 1991.
Edit as of 1/19/2013
I have completely restore, refinished, and rebuilt my Auburn. It was a long time in the making, and over a year worth of parts buying, finding and collecting. But man am I happy with the end result. Fully custom one of a kind CR20RX.

In the pic where it's sitting on the ground, the cranks look trashed...lol I love these bikes.
Ride it till you break it. Then weld and ride it some more.

Re: 1991 Auburn CR20RX
I have the correct decals for this if you need them. They have the gradient fade on them, not just the word auburn! Pm me if interested!
Looking for, 36 hole hoops in good/great shape. Prefer sun rhino or chinook or leventer(?) spelling on last one might be wrong but you know what I mean.

Re: 1991 Auburn CR20RX
So I have finally been working on this bike to get it back to some kind of glory..... Polished the rear link, DK stem, Answer Pro Forx, and got some GT Profile 3piece cranks for it.

In the process of getting some more parts, stuff I shoulda/woulda had on it BITD. Will update as progress proceeds.

Re: 1991 Auburn CR20RX
Nice touches with purple. Was Pit Bull a custome ano job? Reminds me of intro article featured BMXA with the Auburn Toaster (white van) and team models. Forget the year and issue. Man I wish I never got rid off all those BMXA magizines. . .
Racing in the 80's, idle in the 90's and now Cruzin' 24's. What do you ride?

Re: 1991 Auburn CR20RX
Thanks. I think so about the Pitbull. My cousin is the one who gave it to me, along with the stem. He had it special ordered, so it definitely wasn't off the shelve. I was happy that he found it and let me have it. Gotta love family and stuff that was hidden away and not used ![]()
