1993 Ironhorse Lunar
1993 Ironhorse Lunar
Alexander's First Restoration!!!!
My son Alexander saw this frame in white with blue decals on eBay and liked the bottom frame tube design. Although originally designed for BMX racing we decided to convert it to a flatland bike. Since replacement decals would be virtually impossible to find we decided to use masking tape and pattern over the existing ones. Using Dan's Compe and eBay we pieced this rare beauty together. Now he has a heck of a daily rider!
* Black Ops Stem * Black Ops Bulletproof Seat * Eastern Fuguey Flyer Grips * Eastern 3 Piece Crank * Eclat Plaza PC Pedals * Flatware Bayou Bars * Haro Gyro Cables * KMC Z410 Chain * Odyssey G2 Gyro Systems * Tektro Levers & Back Brakes * Sinz Front Brakes & Front Brake Cable * Skyway Tuff II's * Tioga Power Block Tires

Thanks for the compliment and question. Alex just started stripping the paint off a 2000 KHE Lagger. Plans on restoring it in charcoal gray with neon yellow parts.

(If you have two Pegs on only one side, you are a Terrible person..)
Looking for `90 GT Mach One decal set, `90 Stamped GT Mach One Fork, GT race Stem
The forks came with V-Brake mounts. Don't know why since the frame has U-Brake mounts. It originally was designed for racing and not flatland. Perhaps that's why? In any case, the V-Brakes are awesome. All I had to do was bend the noodle. The stopping power is incredible. You just have to tap them and your over the bars. Wish I could say the same about some of my bikes U-Brakes. ![]()

We started off with a 25T sprocket but the chain was rubbing the back brakes, so we switched up to a 33T. Runs fine! But then again this isn't built for speed anymore!

Re: 1993 Ironhorse Lunar
I love the look of this bike, but I don't think there was an ironhorse, U-brake, or even threadless bikes in 1993. Wonder what year this would really be... I'd guess Would have to be 95 or later because of the brand, but I'd guess it's a 99 or later since it's u-brake and threadless.

You got me bro. The Museum confirmed the serial # year to '93 when I posted it. A similar Ironhorse in the Museum is dated as a '95 and has a threadless. Perhaps they were ahead of their time! In any case thanks for liking it. My son apprecites it. ![]()
