1981 Fuji MX-500

Fuji MX survivor.

Old Fuji MX survivor dirt bike.
Craigs list score for $25.

These are not the Tuff wheels that were on the bike when I got it.
I used the Tuffs that came with the bike on another project, they are serial numbered and in great condition.
These Tuffs were dyed black by someone, they look kind of dark grey and beat, so I put them on this bike. That way I can thrash the bike.
Also switched out pedals, the originals were destroyed and added a large 46 tooth cruser sprocket.

It rides kind of weird.... might be the forks.
Im a sucker for gussets and looptails so who cares.

Just noticed this. Glad you picked it up and gave it a home. The good thing about MX and X series is they are very affordable. wink

Build it, Ride it and Break it. That what it was made for.

Re: 1981 Fuji MX-500

Two of my friends had this exact bike as a kid... I remember one kid got a set of black and red ZAP pads for Christmas to dress it up...  totally agree that they rode weird, always felt like you were gonna go over the bars on a jump... liked the look, hated the ride and I totally agree on the gussets and looptails comment!
