1977 Huffy Thunder

WoW mom just emailed me pic of me and my very first ever BMX, i remember being so proud back then, HUFFY  was still cool in 78". BMX racing was just becoming mainstream and vert and freestyle was about to be invented!

Re: 1977 Huffy Thunder

That's awesome.

I got my first Huffy a few years after you did yours, and while it was not exactly cool by my neighborhood's standards, it was still the greatest birthday gift ever.

Whatever else can be said about Huffy, you'd be hard-pressed to find a brand that launched more lifelong riders and collectors.

Very cool!
Gotta love Huffies from BITD.
I had a Thunder Road in'78. I remember the day at Toys R Us when my dad bought it for me.

Well all sported the tube socks yanked to the knees. My favorite color combo was black and red. And of course you can't forget the red running shorts with white piping.lol
