That's awesome.
I got my first Huffy a few years after you did yours, and while it was not exactly cool by my neighborhood's standards, it was still the greatest birthday gift ever.
Whatever else can be said about Huffy, you'd be hard-pressed to find a brand that launched more lifelong riders and collectors.

yeah they were just coming out with diamond backs, Se's and Mongooses back in these days, but HUFFY was the OG of all BMX's and mostly us under privalidge kids was the ones on the huffy's still back in 78" but by the 80's it was all about the P.K RIPPER in my hood, lol but didnt have around a 1k to get it.

Well all sported the tube socks yanked to the knees. My favorite color combo was black and red. And of course you can't forget the red running shorts with white piping.![]()
