1989 GT Vertigo ST

Project, extra, guest bike...

I got this one from a bud, he had forever, it's been through a few other dudes, until I was asked to sell it for one of them. Original paint is in good shape, still has original stickers on gyro cables, wasn't beat on much. The original low grade '88 48s were located and on it for now. Now has 3 pc gt cranks, the seat post is getting chromed, '87 Dyno bars fit me pretty good, more stuff to go. I haven't had a painted frame since 79 and no front brake on a bmx since 81, so this it be good to have around. This is one for the next time somebody stops by and eyeballs my chrome bike, saying, man, wish we could go riding...

Re: 1989 GT Vertigo ST

haha, since i had this one, i have seen others colors with white GT decals and of course chrome popping up on here once in a while, pretty cool. i don't know if i even remember seeing back then really...it was all a pink blurrrr. there's a ton of stuff out there still, good luck!!

edit - this ones been together and out and about for a couple weeks now. last of the 80s, upgraded. good rider, kinda heavy, but super smooth. thanks to skywayray for the alum wing gear, i had a steel. updated pics...

Re: 1989 GT Vertigo ST

just pick up a 89 performer last week. it brings back so many memories. i love this sticker package so much and wish i could find a new set so i can re powder my frame forks and bars. if u know where to get any let me know. i am going to try to hot gun them off and bring them to a graph designer to see if he can recreat. keep it real with the 89s.
