You guys that say freestyle sucks....you were just not good enough bitd to roll with it.Anybody can ride fast in a straight line....but not many can pull a tailwhip or decade.

Spkyer I was just giving Stone the gears about Freestyle. Your comment about racing is fuc..up! Quote "Anybody can ride fast in a straight line".

I assume you didn't race. It was more than going in a straight line. You should read up the history of bmx racing. We had great tracks BITD. In Bothell, Washington was a downhill track. Speeds would of blown your mind. We practiced for hours just to master starting gates, berms, whoopee doos and tabletop jumps. Stadium races we had wooden jumps and hairspray on tires so we can get traction in a sweeping turn. I guess Greg Hill, Stu Thompson, Brian Patterson, Gary Ellis, Darrell Young and guys like us can only go in a straight line.

Locally many of us racers BITD use to ride the North Van Skate Bowl and China Creek Bowl. We spent many days and nights jumping with our bikes. This was before Haro and Buff changed their race bikes to more Freestyle.

Only good thing that it gives us a chance to finish any of our new rides.

Hey just wondering if anyone is going to organize a Spring Bmx show? With this crappy weather we have had there must be some building going on.

I am in the process of trying to get something  together. Along the lines of a show/swap/BBQ/ride & a little something from the 80's. wink
