my visit to Dieter Schadowski's bmx museum in Karlsruhe, Germany (EU)

soo, i was the whole weekend in the Stuttgart area in Southwest Germany, i made an appointment with Rainer (son of Dieter) to visit the museum, yesterday was the big day, after a 1hour one way trip i made it to the museum in a friendly neighbourhood, at my arrival nobody was there so  i the called Dieter's cellphone , in no time he arrived there, and we made a flashback to 1982 -83 -84 or what ever

Re: my visit to Dieter Schadowski's bmx museum in Karlsruhe, Germany (EU)

You know, to be perfectly honest I'm not all that in to old school bikes. They were before my time and the only ones I ever rode were rusty pieces of crap which is why I like midschool more.

That being said, I need to plan a trip to Germany to check this place out.

Ok...so, someone fill me in----what's the deal on this dude?  He just has all this stuff left over from BITD?  Or, is did he collect all this stuff?  Does he sell it or is it truly just a museum?  Is he just a hoarder?  What's the deal?  I cannot believe all of the NOS stuff that he has.  Absolutely incredible.

The son of the shop owner was a big time racer back in the day that is all I remember from another thread here in the museum somewhere that has a bit more info. It is the deluxe time capsule for sure! big_smile
