1983 Kuwahara Laserlite

My first race was on this bike

I bought this bike new in 1983 from Freewheeler Bike Shop in Grand Rapids Michigan. This is the exact bike that I rode in my first race at Wyoming BMX in 83'. I did a full restoration on it about 12 years ago when I first started collecting bikes. Luckily, all of the original parts were still in my parents basement, including the "Kuwahara" labeled IRC Racer 80X tires. The only things I replaced were the fork decals and the rims. Everything else is stock to this bike when I bought it in 83'. None of the parts have been re-finished in any way, but it did take some elbow grease to get the bling back on the frame & fork.

Tires - IRC Racer 80x's w/ "Kuwahara" labels
Numberplate - Haro Flo Panel
Pads - Original California Lite Kuwahara pads
