I just got in contact with the Davenport Mayor and he gave me some leads on who to contact. So its in motion... So guys start tossing some dates down, and if we can get a bunch who agree we can go for it. I want it to be early so it is the begining party for a cool summer to come...

My vote is for the Saturday/Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. That's the weekend of May 26-27.

So since it has been hard getting donations this year, very hard. I started a donation box of new parts for the MIDWEST BMX FEST. Got to start early and get some dope giveaways. If you got something new you want to donate to the program please let me know. Not only does the program need parts BAD i need to get some goodies for the fest. Hopefully companies step in!

Anyone else with good dates so I can get this set in stone and get rolling?

MAYBE ill raffle it off at the fest. That way 1 bike could bring more money in to buy more bikes for kids? Even if there cheaper walmart hypers Dr's, Id like to get more kids on bikes. AKA reason for the fest!

I'm only 2 hrs from Davenport so I would be down

Yes just a big fest!!!! I know some venders were talking about it to my friend at this weeks farmer city races, So there starting to pay attention. And some companies are starting to email, So it sounds like this can be a blast.

Get it together. I'll be there with with some friends and a bike or 2, unless its a holiday or something. Scheduling it on any holiday would be shooting yourself in the foot before the show even started.

April is Spring Fling for those who travel. I'm planning on making the trip again this year. I know that others in the Midwest go down to Florida for The Fling as well. Maybe check with Charlie Brown on that one. I don't think he has a date yet. Also, the weekend of April 28 and 29 is out for me. Miami followed by Bahamas. Those later May dates might be best and a great pre cursor to Rockford in June!
