Re: 2006 X Origin8 29er complete

It is a fun ride, spent most of last night on it..
Those big wheels move out!!
They dont make comp 3's in tthis size yet, maybe some bmx bars would help?
thanks for not deleting PJ, and YES, this is still a bmx site..
4130 chrom, single speed, fun to ride, many qualities of a bmx anyway.

I built it for down hill bmx racing but have never gone to a track yet just done freeriding with it and street. does not weigh much alloy frame. has S&M C4 cruzer bars and a S&M REDNECK STEM. rides a lot like a bmx 24" but its a 26" bike. wanted to keep the bmx feel used HARO sealed bearing pedals. DIAMOND BACK seat.  they are fun to ride street with. the suspension softens the blow when jumping stairs. would love to see your bike when you get it exactly the way you want it.

They dont make comp 3's in tthis size yet,                                                                                ACTULY TIOGA MADE FARMER JOHN TIRES wich where verey much like COMP III tires in your size rim. made for mountin bikes in the 80's. just check ebay or bike shop's thay pop up and can be bought.

Re: 2006 X Origin8 29er complete

Yea, farmer johns were nice, but 26".
This bike has 700c, or commonly called 29" tires.
then with the extra big street tires, my wheels are over 30" tall!
Just added stickers, I like the mt bike above..redneck and s&m bars looks good!

Re: 2006 X Origin8 29er complete

so you say you have a cyclecross bike. go find and buy MICHELIN  cyclocross tires cant remeber the name just the brand. but I think I may still have a set in storeg. mine ar blueish green look like TIOGA COMP III. 700x30. would make your bike look simler to a 24" mini BMX. PS show more pictures when you finish or get close as thay are never realy done.
