BMX Bandits - just watched it
So I found the movie for sale at West Edmonton Mall and watched it for the first time today.
I was expecting very little - and was pleasantly surprised. Fun story, good riding and amazing scenery.
Certainly no RAD - but a BMX classic for all.
Anyone else with me out there, or am I nuts? ![]()

Thermal count is rising, In perpetual writhing. The primordial ooze, And the sanity they lose. Awakened in the morning, To more air pollution warnings. Still we sleepwalk off to work, While our nervous systems jerk. Pretending not to notice, How history had forebode us. With the green house in effect, Our environment was wrecked. Now, I can only laugh, As I read our epitaph. We end our lives as moles, In the dark of DAWN PATROL

I have it on DVD, but have not watched it yet. New(ish) baby = watching movies in 10 minute segments = not a lot of catching up on movie watching ![]()
You know, Roy Munson has two chances to win this tournament now...slim and none...and slim may have just left town.

It's a bad movie, but it's low budget and pretty much how the movie industry was here at the time

My DVD copy had some very interesting interviews with people involved in the making of the movie. In the interview someone mentions a FORBES magazine that discussed the success of BMX sales during the early 80s. Does anyone out there have a copy of the magazine? I would suspect that magazine would be from sometime in 1982/83.

Re: BMX Bandits - just watched it
I remember the summer it was on HBO. I think me and my brother watched it 100 times!
Yeah it was low budget and the actors had funny accents( just kidding Ozzlanders) but it was BMX related and thats all that mattered for us.![]()
