The rules are simply stated...any bike that has a 1 inch headset, platform pedals(no clips) you can have bear traps, studded so on and so on. (no V brakes"direct pull" cantilever) This is all that is required of your bike. The other race is age specific as well as bike specific. Which are the same rule previously stated, and as for age. You must be 35 years or older to participate in this race.

Race 1) any age, no V brakes, platform style pedals

Race 2) 28 older, no V brakes, platform style pedals

I will be adding more information as new information come in....Don't forget your helmets

Why not do a 28 and over, thats how the ABA does it

Might have another new member/old friend of mine come.  This will be my FIRST bike show ANYTHING!

Wouldn't the "older" riders just get classified with each other in the OS shootout moto?

I don't think there should be an age bracket, unless there are more than 8 riders signed up. Just line 'em up and let 'em loose.

I'm still working on narrowing down this whole race thing I even considered just running it the way the ABA would. But being that points races are that day I have to be respectful to those riders as well. I will consult with the track manager and find a one all solution to this quagmire. I just want everyone who wants to race be able to. But still keep the OS factor present. If anyone has any other suggestions please PM me

Bike did someone say BIKES we don't need no stinking bikes. I am not riding still healing up from surgery so I will have a couple there you can stroll around the track on. Glad you all are coming out, look forward to seeing you. Earl

This way we don't have to race against the" points hoarders " and would be more of a just for fun thing than to compete   just my 2 cents,  now i will get a pm that i have change due
I do like the idea of some os races:)  Nemo what are you thinking of racing in the os class

Oldschool Shootout Race Rules:



There will be moto's to accommodate all riders of all ages. The only thing that will be specific is the bike setup. All bikes no matter size or year must have:

1) 1inch Headset

2) Platform Pedals

3) No V Brakes

Age groups will be in two categories:

1) ages 3-27

2) ages 28+

We will accommodate all riders and place them as close as possible with there peers.(dependent on how many riders sign up)

I think that would be a great idea Eric, way easier on your end to already be paid then to collect it all. We all appreciate your work to get them to us. I know we will need a XL and a small, paypal ready
