This is the day that the 2nd Annual Chicagoland Old School Shootout will be held on. So keep the date open, and look forward to another great time.

This could happen for us. may have to actually stay over night this time. Driving 5 hours each way plus the show was rough. I was tired even with 4 monsters

So just how many people here are going to try the oldschool race

I invited a few "friends" from my local tracks that are old schoolers. If they show up. we could have quite a big class. Maybe even semi's.

One guy has a Reynolds Quad and a Moosegoose. Another has on older Torker and Redline. I would probably ride my late 80's Floval, same as last year. My son on my '82 Quad.

Some of these guys have pretty good collections. The possibilities are endless...

you should see if you could start a cruiser class if you have enough riders
i am going to stick with my 20 for the moment

Yeah, I tried that last year, and I was the only one. I had to hurray and get my name added to the other class.

I think it would be more fun to run 'em all together. A true open wheel class. And if we have more than 8 riders, have a semi.

Doesn't make sense to split us up if it isn't neccesary. Nothin' cooler than seeing a whole rack of OS machines!

Thanks for putting the word out Karl

With the cruiser craze of 2012 I hope to run a full out cruiser class. If not I will look into your suggestion of a open wheel class.

Olympic Day at The Hill is this Saturday, June 30th. Free races and no membership required on this special day. If you haven't raced before, this is a great time to try it. If you have, then come have fun racing for free and be sure to bring a friend or two with you! We will have a 50/50 raffle and some great prizes.
Registration from 10:30 to 12:00, racing at 1:00pm.

Today is Olympic Day at our local bmx track (The Hill) I will be there with my family and friends, strangers and neighbors, begginers, and pros...to celebrate the growth of BMX as a sport..... See you at the starting gate!
